TechExplorersBK is a cutting-edge creative tech space that teaches kids and teens to code, design games, 3D print, build robots, create animations, and more in an encouraging, individually-paced environment. OrangeYouGlad was approached to refresh their brand at large, and rethink all of their customer touchpoints. Our goal was to create a branding system that felt fresh, kid-focused, intelligent and fun.

TechExplorersBK approached OrangeYouGlad to better represent the fun energy of their philosophy and programs in their website, print collateral and beyond. The new brand language needed to appeal to kids, young and old, as well as parents. To achieve this, we redesigned their logo to be bold and inquisitive, and we paired the mark with a colorful palette, energetic photography and bright and techy illustrations.
CUSTOM FONT
From the wordmark, we developed a fully functional display font, EXP Soft. Informed by monospaced fonts used in coding and by pixel art, the resulting alphabet is structured and bold but soft and friendly—special characters included!
