About the Book In celebration of the 2004 Halloween season OrangeYouGlad has collected nine spine-tingling stories into one spooky edition of Scary Mary's Little Bleak Book. Stories were contributed by family and friends ranging from nine year old Nick DeMichele's George and the Vampires to Erin Shigaki's retelling of a traditional Japanese fable, The Old Man With a Wen. The book was published as a limited edition (75 copies) and hand bound by the ghouls at OrangeYouGlad. Because we have already run out of copies, we've created this website showcasing each story along with original illustrations by Jennifer Caban and Katherine Hubbs.
