Once upon a time, in a nice little country town, there was a little boy named George. One Halloween, George was playing baseball. When he hit the ball, it went through the window of the haunted house. Everyone thought this was the scariest place in the neighborhood. No matter how sunny the day, whenever anyone looked at the haunted house, thunder rolled and lightning flashed directly above it.
 .
     So George, with chattering teeth and knocking knees, slowly walked up to the haunted house. He crept up the squeaky stairs and opened the door. The door creaked open with an eerie sound. George tried to make himself think, "this isn't half bad, as long as you don't count the fact that there are bats everywhere! This isn't half bad, as long as you don't pay attention to the smell of dead plants!"

     Then George looked at two gigantic old pictures hanging on the wall, and the two pictures looked at him! Stared at him, actually! All of a sudden, George heard a loud crack! BOOM! Suddenly the pictures were lying on the floor and in their place stood two vampires! A man and a woman vampire! George screamed! The vampires screamed! Everyone was screaming.

     It took awhile before the screaming stopped. George was frozen in his tracks and didn't know what to do. His legs felt like
