OCTOBER 2004

Hello friends, family, clients, coworkers, ghouls, goblins and things that go bump in the night! This newsletter isn’t a figment of your imagination! Believe it or not, you are looking at the second “monthly” newsletter we’ve managed to send in the past three years. And boy do we have a lot of good stuff to share with you:

> Scary Mary’s Little Bleak Book
> How to Build a Domo-Kun
> Sweet Tooth – Candy Coupon
> A quick look at some new OYG work
> Seen us from the F/G Train?

scary mary’s little bleak book

We love Halloween, have you noticed? To celebrate this year, we’ve pulled together a compilation of stories submitted to us by friends and family. And while the first edition of 75 copies have all been snatched up, we have posted each story and the original illustrations to our website for your reading pleasure.

HOW TO BUILD A DOMO-Kun

SWEET TOOTH?

Sherm Edwards Candy is awesome. We definitely have an affinity for the “Hot” Chocolate meltaways. That’s right “Hot” as in cayenne pepper! If you would like to try these the folks at Sherm Edwards have provided us with this discount coupon.

When Elmo called us and asked that we help out with the Sesame Workshop site, how could we resist? Muppets make for great clients! We've worked on approximately eight projectes for Sesame Workshop this year.

Seen us from the F/G train?

We decided to bring a bit of bright cheer to good ‘ol Smith Street, and asked our studio mate and good friend LJ Lindhurst (she is the most awesome painter) to paint our old busted up gates. Eight coats of paint later and a few incidents of graffiti late we present you with our new gates.

And well, that’s it. We probably could go on for at least another three pages, but we’re guessing only a rare few of you made it this far. We congratulate you on not having much else to do today (or just really being interested in what we are up to).

Have a wonderful Halloween Holiday! Be sure to get a good fright out of someone, it is food for the soul.
