We went to see Christoph Niemann today at Creative Morning‘s in DUMBO today! He was wonderful! Very endearing and clever. He had several humorous charts for us to follow along with as he explained his creative process. I didn’t transcribe most of them but the gist is that this man has a lot of anxiety. His way of handling it is by going straight towards the problem and attacking it! The more you confront problems, the better equipped you’ll be when faced with future problems. (more…)

Ji Lee, who is famous for his bubble project, spoke today as part of the Creative Mornings series. Orange You Glad went and loved it! One thing that stuck with me the most was his list of the top 5 things he’s learned in life and design. Without any further ado:

1 It’s all about having fun. If it’s fun, I’ll always find time for it.
2 Personal and Professional projects compliment each other
3 Never put all my eggs into one basket
4 Ideas are nothing. Doing is everything
5 Ship Ship Ship (which I interpret as, get it out there fast and often)

Our new site has launched and we are pleased as punch to have received some excellent attention from the interweb about it. Today we are featured on www.thecssawards.com as the site of the day. It makes me feel like Sally Field . Perhaps not Sally Field at an awards show, but more the upside down in a wedding dress while driving at 100+mph in a Trans-Am along side Burt Reyonlds  - Sally Field.  That’s how good this feels. (dating myself much?)
