The Best Christmas Cookie I’ve Ever Seen

Hanging out with my family can yield magical results. I walk in from a hectic afternoon of shopping on Christmas Eve with Mom and found Dad alone in the kitchen paging through a coffee table book entitled Bridges. A few moments later, I approach the sweets table looking for a delicious item to put in my mouth and spy the most perplexing Christmas cookie I’ve ever seen. The bowling ball faced ginger bear needed its own, very special homage.

Mrs. Claus and Matzo Balls

In honor of the convergence of Hanukkah and Christmas this year we’ve uploaded Frauke’s original holiday song “They Slay Bell Suite: Mrs. Claus and Matzo Balls.” The song is like a warm and cozy holiday cocktail. Mix one part “elven-claus crush” with 1 part “half-brew (hebrew).” The song was written and recorded in 2009 for the compilation/fundraiser “Do You Ear what I Ear?

You guys, CHRISTMAS!

I know it’s not Christmas yet, but it IS CHRISTMAS! You know how I know? This guy wore all red today. I don’t think he knew, per se, that he would embody the Christmas spirit this morning when he rolled out of bed, but IT HAPPENED. Also, how does this happen? Matt Schoch is a Christmas angel baby.

Objects D’orange.

It is the gift giving, gift receiving time of year again and as happens most years someone will put 2 and 2 together and send us some sort of fabulous object d’orange.   You never know what it will be and who it will come from but it is always a welcome and unexpected surprise.  This year I opened a gift from my little brother early (shame on me) to discover this gigantor, orange, foamy trucker hat which is just begging to be sharpied. Wait till the kidz in Williamsburg see me in this. I might just start an awesome trend.

Looking for bad-ass suggestions. Go!

Also – this is just a really dumb post.

Christmas Jamz

Saturday night we all went out to a Weekend party party together, maybe for the first time ever. It was double triple amazing fun times! There was champagne, and steak and macarons and egg nog and a Cosmo ice luge. What?! Also there was Wynton Marsalis. JUST SAYIN. Thank you Charlotte for an unforgettable Christmas party!
