Question of the week! Would you rather be 25% more attractive or 25% smarter? This is an overall percentage. If you choose attractiveness it will be all over, i.e. whiter, straighter teeth, slimmer, more muscle definition, clearer skin, etc. Smarter will mean…you are smarter. Things to consider: 1. Beauty fades. 2. Going senile in old age anwyay? 3. If you are smarter it does not mean everyone around you will be smarter. Might be (more) frustrating to deal with idiots. 4. It does not mean you will be a supermodel if you choose attractiveness. It’s only 25%. Remember that! What would you choose???

We are so pretty. Today I gave Tammy curly hair with my magical skillz. It is a test to see if she would want to get a digital perm. Makeovers! Catan! Responsive web! We are awesome multi-taskers. We are also pretty. Never forget that.

Jealouzzzz??? You should be. That is the power of a flat iron.

At last week’s SVA internship fair we had a contest which was this: Draw the thing that you are most glad for on a piece of paper. Whoever wins gets a prize mailed to their house and is featured here, on our super awesome blog. People were glad for many things including friendship, money and dogs’ ears. I am glad for the never-ending supply of Polish chocolates in our office and the 2 seasons of Sons of Anarchy that are still waiting for me in my queue.

There is one though that stood out for us from a lovely student named Boseon Kim:

As Professor Slughorn said to Harry in his Potions class when he won a bottle of Flex Felicis, “The clear winner!” What did it for me was the fat smiley orange and sweeties on the cover. As everyone knows, candy is surely the way to my heart. Congrats Boseon!

I downloaded this awesomesauce app yesterday called “Frames“. It basically makes a stop motion animation for you. You can just sit there, lazily clicking the capture image button over and over and it does all the hard stuff for you. So far I like it. This test animation is just a test! I’m not Michel Gondry or anything so RELAX. Also, my husband Michael made the baby heads. They are of us ˆ__ˆ

I know it’s not Christmas yet, but it IS CHRISTMAS! You know how I know? This guy wore all red today. I don’t think he knew, per se, that he would embody the Christmas spirit this morning when he rolled out of bed, but IT HAPPENED. Also, how does this happen? Matt Schoch is a Christmas angel baby.

Saturday night we all went out to a Weekend party party together, maybe for the first time ever. It was double triple amazing fun times! There was champagne, and steak and macarons and egg nog and a Cosmo ice luge. What?! Also there was Wynton Marsalis. JUST SAYIN. Thank you Charlotte for an unforgettable Christmas party!

First of all let me say that next May I will have been part of the OYG team for 5 years. Yesss! Also, our office is located right down the block from this bread/pastry/muffin factory called Kabir’s. So basically, it’s been years of deliciously torturous bread smells everyday with nothing to show for it. UNTIL TODAY!

We were on our way to go geocaching (because we are awesome), when Tammy strolls into the factory like she owns it. I couldn’t believe it, but it happened! I guess people can go in there and just buy bread?

“You want 4 cases?”
“No we want 4 pieces.”
“…Just take this whole case.”
“YES.”

The guys thought we were weirdos I guess, but what they didn’t know was that my brain was melting.

Next we went geocaching, which we starting doing this week because it makes us feel like Indiana Jones\Encyclopedia Brown.

Honestly, I can’t remember everything that happened because I was still in a bread daze.

The Marimekko store is opening on the West side of Madison Square Park this Fall, 2011.

We saw these yesterday and fell in loooove. a) Because Marimekko is so beautiful and the patterns leave us all in a tizzy and b) they are so inspirational. They have inspired us so much that we are going to actually repaint our gates to include a mural featuring the things we love (i.e. cats, monsters, cats, patterns and cats). What?!!!

Cats.

Super fun on OPPOSITE DAY. They say when you get pooped on by a Pigeon that you will have good luck, but will I? Maybe I should play the lottery. I’m sure there are bound to be other people playing who have also been pooped on. Maybe it is the size of the poop that counts? This one was small. What small luck will I encounter? Lucky that Deanna was there to wipe my head. Thanks Deanna! I AM SO LUCKY.
