Someone was jealous

I grew up close to Saratoga NY, famous for horse races and beautiful victorean style houses. One of the several traditions we have upstate is breaking the peppermint pig! Usually it’s a christmas time activity but it’s a radically beautiful day in March so WHY NOT? It symbolizes prosperity and good health and for us, good times.

To give you an idea of how popular it is, this store Saratoga Sweets is in a town next to me, Halfmoon:

FUN FACT: the black and white cookies that NYC loves so much was born in Halfmoon, where they are called by their original name, half moon cookies.

Working with the lovely ladies of OrangeYouGlad is really fun and silly times are frequent. Usually I feel right at home with them except for a tinge here and there that reminds me that I am a boyMAN. Awhile ago I had one of these moments when sifting through our magazines in the bathroom. To pass the time, I decided to take a pen to the older issues. Here is one of the dreary fake blah blah blah stock photo covers I couldn’t help but graffiti. Typographic help from Veronica.

I started photographing some of our projects and client work and I realized very quickly that there is a reason why photography is a profession. It’s HARD. With the little we had and our space age lightbox, I tried my best pretending to be a photographer.
